OK Rod. I have attached one JPG file of my grabber. If it is not clear enough or there is a problem with it, let me know.
This is not my original idea - can't remember who suggested it. The item is made from a paint roller holder. The roller part is cut off and the rest is clamped in a vise and bent (using a hammer) into the circular shape. The inner diameter of the circle is about 2 3/8 inches.
It fits nicely over the top of a Hemi 42 or a beehive. I also have another one slightly smaller in case I ever run into any ponies.
The circular part of the metal is covered with plastic tubing .25 ID, .375 OD.
The pole itself is a 12-foot paint roller extension, collapsible to about 6 feet.
All items were obtained at Menards.
