These were used to mark the poles owned by the United States Tennessee River Valley Authority (US-TVA). The TVA was established in 1933 as part of the 'New Deal', to provide electricity to rural farms in the Tennessee River Valley.

Acquired: July 20, 2004 - gift from Pat S.
Notes: retrieved from a pole that had been replaced in Franklin, Kentucky.
