In urban area the welephone wires run from roofs to roofs. Before the WWs and their times above all cities were very close spider net.. The roof holders were cheaper and confortable than the street poles.
Here are two types roof holders with one pipe steel pole, and with two ones. There were used only L-profile crossarms. For one steel pipe are 2 and 6 pins crossarms, for the two steel pipes are 10 pins crrossarms only.
